until now Remix OS on a PC to work almost the same as in other operating systems. Thus, we were able to install it on one of the sections or throw on a flash drive and run directly from it. The first option was quite risky, given the constraints and potential problems with stability. The second was tied, but with the performance issues. In both and we had to choose between the Remix OS and Windows installed on our computer (well, except that someone used Linux). Therefore, developers provide a EXE version.
What does it change? All. Remix OS as such, it just emulates a virtual machine with Android Studio. No need really even to install – just unzip the archive available for download on the official website of the project. Before downloading and choose how many cores our CPU and how much RAM has the virtual machine to use. We can also specify a permission that is loaded, a window appears with Remix OS. The system runs like any other app, thus giving us full access to their interface and capabilities. Available version is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and it also has access to the Google Play store. The developers have identified quite clearly the hardware requirements Remix OS:
- Windows 7 (64-bit) or higher;
- Core i3 (recommended Core i5 or Core i7)
- 4 GB RAM
- 8 GB of free hard disk space (16 GB recommended)
of course, the faster the computer the smoother and better will work on it system. I have low voltage Core i5 (Skylake) with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD was… pretty bad. Considering that the developers recommend this version of the Remix OS, especially for games that do not need to taste it to run on older and slower machines. On the other hand, Remix OS is perfect in other cases. Of course, at least a few apps from Android, which uruchomilibyście on Windows. Currently it is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to do it. I’ve been with the system a couple of hours, and at this time uruchamiałem relatively a lot of apps – the vast majority worked. Not recorded at that time no particular problem with stability.
