Android has a new enemy. Comes SMS

Kaspersky Lab for the first time observed a Trojan that attacks Android device through text messages. Harmful virus called FakeInst and, as they reported, the activity in our country is high.

FakeInst is an application which is used to watch pornographic films. With its help the user connects to a website and get information about the payment by SMS for entry to the site. After sending the SMS, an application can send another, in order to purchase other premium options.

virus can intercept our messages, delete them, and even the answer. By sending them to different audiences, including from abroad, exposes you to high phone bill.

– To avoid such risks and associated financial losses, should only install software only from official sources. You should also turn off the option ‘Allow installation of applications from unknown sources’ in the settings and install the Android mobile application security – advises the Roman Unuchek, an expert with Kaspersky Lab.
