Several days ago, HTC has announced that One S smartphone software will not see the update to version 4.2. Now it seems that the harsh criticism of the community forced the Taiwanese company to change its position.

It is worth mentioning also that this source in June, the month before the official announcement, reported that HTC decided to discontinue support for the One S.
