developed by Canonical Ubuntu is the most recognized Linux distribution today. For a long time developers are trying, more or less successfully, to enter the mobile market. The last idea is the combination of mobile Ubuntu and Android within the same device, and allow the user to switch between systems on request.

For some time Canonical allows you to download Ubuntu mobile and install it on the selected Android devices. Unfortunately, to date, it was associated with the removal of all data from the device, along with the basic system. Because Ubuntu for smartphones and tablets is only in the development version, many people decided not to experiment with the new system.

Holders Nexus 4 from Google should, however, now much cheer, because Canonical allow you to run both systems at the same time – Android and mobile Ubuntu – on a single device for a change. The procedure to prepare the phone is not simple and requires a Ubuntu on a desktop computer and a knowledge of the Linux command line. We must also remember that this is only a development version, so not everything has to work properly.

Note! Installing Ubuntu alongside Android is implemented on the basis of scripts, but you must reckon with the fact that something could go wrong and you may end up damage the device and void the warranty. More information can be found on the Ubuntu website intended for developers.
