Android, like last year, is still on top - TELEPOLIS.PL

Android most popular operating system for mobile devices. Microsoft software is still most often used by the Polish Internet users.

Gemius checked whether the Polish Internet users connect to the network using the same systems as the year before. It turned out that, yes. As shown in the measurement of web traffic, owners of mobile devices is still the most commonly connect to the network using the Android system from Google (almost 7% of Internet traffic in Poland). Also popular iOS dedicated tabletom and smartphones from Apple (2%) and the latest mobile system Microsoft – Windows Phone 8 (0.4%).

In annual terms, gained most Android, whose share of the traffic Internet has nearly quadrupled (from 2% to 7%). Also gained his main competitors – iOS (from 1% to 2%), and Windows Phone 8, which debuted on the direction in October 2012 (up to 0.4%).

Still operating system, using that Internet users frequently surf the Internet, is Windows 7 (47 per cent. web traffic). In the second place, as before, is Windows XP (26%), and the third Windows Vista (7%). In annual terms, the largest increase, because almost sixfold, noted Windows 8, which debuted on the market at the end of October 2012 (up to 6%). While the largest decrease, by almost a third, reported Windows XP (from 36% to 26%).

The data come from a survey of traffic on the web (gemiusTraffic), which leads Gemius in more than 20 countries in Europe and Middle East and North Africa.
