There were no revolutions, but in the end it is – for Android Marshmallow … – Spider’s Web

Barely a week before the debut of his successors, last year, the flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge receive the upgrade to the latest version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. A good time to look at this, what can we expect from the software in the Galaxy S7.

Samsung has already accustomed to the fact that in no hurry to him from upgrading their smartphones to the latest version operating system and update usually hits older flagship at the time of release of their successors. It is no different this time. As reported on the official blog, today launched a global process of updating the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge to Android Marshmallow.

First, the update will start in Korea, but soon will go also to the other countries.

If someone – like me – expected to tone down the candy TouchWiz styling with the update, unfortunately must give up all hope. At first glance, the Samsung overlay is still as vivid, colorful and motley as always.

a lot has changed for the usefulness of the “curved” flagship variant. Because pact – S6 edge may look beautiful, and the curved screen makes a huge impression, but it is not overly useful. Android Marshmallow Galaxy S6 edge has to change, and this means that even in Galaxy S7 edge curvature of the screen will eventually have some use.

Samsung develops People edge features, Apps edge and adds the option Tasks edge. As you can see in the screenshots below, edge-ons occupy admittedly a little more space on the screen, but are much clearer and more useful than ever. I especially like to see on the screenshots option “Quick Tools”, which allows – as you can see – use the edge of the screen ruler, compass, or adjust the flashlight.

equally useful is the information panel that allows quick glance to check the latest news from the world. It is a pity that probably not equal to the removal of this unfortunate panel “Brief” from the leftmost panel, which always first turn off as soon as I have in my hands the device Samsung.

as the Android Marshmallow Galaxy S6 also introduces a feature Doze, we can expect (or at least hope so) that the operating time on a single charge will be improved. Because so far, although it is not tragic, it is to name it a “good” many missing.

As mentioned, the update begins to run down today on Korean copies, but we can expect that the on the Polish versions of devices will settle it in the coming weeks.
