Android sends images even after the removal of a dedicated application – PurePC.pl (Register)

Android Persons with multiple devices will appreciate a coherent ecosystem that enables efficient exchange of data between devices using the cloud. No need to connect the devices with cables, or use a USB memory stick – just connect to the network and our files are easily synchronized with all of our smartphones, tablets or computers. An example of such synchronization may be images taken with the camera phone. After taking photos is stored in the memory or on the card, but a copy is automatically sent to the cloud – so after returning from vacation all our photos are on our account and you only need a personal computer to download, edit and publish. Users have a choice of many sites that offer this type of functionality, and Android owners can use the default program called Pictures coming from Google.

It turns out, however, that green little robot is able to send images even after uninstalling it program. How is it possible and how this type of error was discovered? David A. Arnott decided to check the Photos application, but came to the conclusion that Flickr is more appropriate to its needs and decided to remove the program coming from Google. After removing applications perform using your phone’s pictures, which were then automatically sent to Google.

This is not a mistake, this feature!

How is this possible? David A. Arnott decided to write on this matter mail directly to Google, and it turns out that uninstalling the application itself is not enough to phone stopped sending our pictures to corporations with Mountain View (company admitted that it is intended effect, rather than none error). To completely disable the backup images, you go to the application settings Google Play services and there uncheck Backup Google Photos. Only after this is done, your phone stops sending pics on corporate servers.
