Android Pay – how to use? Everything you need to know – Antyweb

the

Who can use Android Pay?

First of all, you need to have a device with Android 4.4 or later. You must also have the NFC module in the phone. Of course, the NFC must be enabled in the system settings.

at the Moment, with Android Pay in Poland, can only be used by holders of cards Mastercard or Visa issued by Alior Bank, T-Mobile Banking Services and Bank Zachodni WBK. Over time, these banks have to arrive. First and foremost they will be joined mBank.

How to start to use Android Pay?

Is very simple. We enter in Google Play, find the app Android Pay and install it. After that, run the program and add your payment card. From this point we can freely use our phone as a wallet. It is enough to bring it to the payment terminal.

How to add map in Android Pay?

– We can do this in three ways. If we have already connected the tab under our account in Google Play, this application will offer us to add it. Just in this case, just agree.

the Second method is the our card. Due to the fact that it appears in the application in exactly the same manner as physical (and it will be easier recognizable). The program has a built-in scanner, which is very accurate. Just install the map is to cover it with a frame drawn on the display.

the Third method is the manual input of card number – there’s probably no need to explain what to do.

After all this, we still have to do the test, and therefore to appoint the CVC code on the back of your card. Use additional protection in the form of a confirmation by SMS or email. The user will receive, thus, a one-time code that must be entered in the application before the end of the process. This is to prevent unauthorized (which, for example, will temporarily gain physical access to our cards) recharge cards in other people’s phones

How does the payment with Android Pay?

– It’s easy. Just take the phone out of my pocket, unlock and approach the terminal. If all goes well, we will see a picture representing a Bank card used for the transaction, and the animation with the green tick. Then our phone will issue a notification that payment in the specified amount was made. I should add that we have access to full history of payments within apps, Android Pay.

I Should add that we don’t have to be connected to the Internet. Android Pay also works in offline mode, although the number of payments made thus reduced to a few.

the fact That in a situation when we added more maps, Android Pay? Inside the application we can move the selected map up – it is very fast and intuitive. Then it becomes our guess the map will be used to initialize the payment. We, of course, also a time to choose a card and make a payment. It will take just a bit longer, because you will demand from us to hand launch Android Pay.

Where can I pay with Android Pay?

In Poland it is generally any place that supports contactless payments with Mastercard cards (that is, in practice, every place that supports contactless payments as a whole). A total of more than 425 thousand. of such points. Payment in this way is very popular, so offer them even small, local stores.

In the world, a total of 6 million such points. Here it is, however, careful because the servicing of Mastercard payment cards may not be the same with contactless payments.

my Android Pay payments are secure?

As I wrote in the article where it was reported about the premiere Android Pay in Poland:

the Operations performed with the help of Android Pay use the so-called tokenizacji, which implements the Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES), which ensures a high level of security of the transaction. In preparing the device for implementing the payments through the Android Pay, the Mastercard network generates a digital “token” that is the number that allows you to associate the device with a credit card. This token is stored in the security in cloud computing. Because it is a different room than the credit card with which it is associated, the map data is not transmitted to the seller. The token is also unique to your device, so you cannot use it to Transact other device. Every transaction using digital wallet Android Pay, implemented using the “stokenizowanej” Mastercard covers the same benefits and warranties that relate to a traditional Mastercard.

thus, our card number is not being used for payments. Android Pay store in the cloud and uses each time only a unique token. Do not be afraid that someone’ll get him. Well, not to use, because the token is assigned to a specific device. There is no reason for concern.

“Android Pay can’t be used,” what’s going on?

Likely, our device does not meet the requirements of Android Pay. Services will not take persons who use Android lower than 4.4 KitKat. She is also available for user-developers Android version and custom ROM-s or smartphones root system. The problem is the use of samsungowskiego MyKnox.

in addition, Google has published a list of other devices that for some reason Android Pay does not work:

  • Elephone P9000
  • Evo 4G LTE
  • Nexus 7 (2012)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note III
  • Samsung Galaxy S3
  • Samsung Galaxy Light

What else should I know?

Well? Ask in the comments and we’ll try to help you or direct Your questions to representatives of Google, Mastercarda or offering services to banks.
