Google abandon, Android 2.3 Gingerbread… in the next year Tabletowo.pl

Fragmentation. Least favorite word in the dictionary any developer on Android. In the near future the people creating applications for mobile system from Google will have one small problem out of my head. Company of mountain view refuses to support Android 2.3 Gingerbread. But only in 2017.

for a long period of time, Android Gingerbread reigned among the most popular of the mobile operating system of Google. Currently occupies a leading position conducts KitKat and later Android release, although – as is usually the case with Google, and is final version, barely noticeable in the statistics. Some joked that the Bun had a chance to become Windows XP for Android. These times, however, pass by.

Google next year will gradually shut off the service Gingerbreada in their web services. It will touch at least YouTube, Gmail, Google+ etc Support Google Play Services will only be available starting with Android 4.0. This situation has to be introduced in early 2017. Android 3 Honeycomb also lose support from Google, but let’s be honest – is there anyone in the audience who ever saw this version of Android? ;) (I used to! Hmm, I’m old, approx. ed.)

However, it is high time to turn off Android 2.3. This version of the OS from Google has already 5 years and only indicates that for a significant portion of smartphone users upgrade system-it’s still black magic. In General, for many manufacturers. I wonder how many people decide to change their phone to a newer together with the conclusion of the service Gingerbreada through Google?
