HP Desktop running on Android - Techworld

Operating Systems managing mobile devices are entering more and more boldly to desktops, including those for businesses. Evidence of this fact, HP announced yesterday in Beijing (China) desktop all-in-one (which has a display of 21.5-inch), running an operating system Android (Google).

Desktop called the HP Slate 21 is equipped with a touch screen IPS (In-Plane Switching) System OS Android 4.2.2. At the beginning of the year. another well-known company also demonstrated an Android desktop. Acer (Taiwan manufacturer of personal computing) then presented (in Taipei at Computex) Acer desktop marked N3-220. Your computer has a Nvidia Tegra 3 processor (clocked at 1.6GHz) and will be launched in the third quarter of this year.

Hence the growing interest of PC running Android. They hope that the users are dissatisfied with Windows 8 will be willing to go for something new, that is the Android system.

It is quite an attractive alternative given the fact that Google is promoting Android as an open and free operating system. For Adroid speaks another. For many companies, this is not a novelty, which is to be feared, because they often already have quite a large fleet of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) that work was under the control of the operating system.

Remains, of course, there are a few problems to solve . Perhaps the most important of these is the fact that Android (and the applications that run on devices running on the software) is designed to work with devices with small displays. PCs have large displays, because “pecetowy” Android should be taken into account.

In the footsteps of HP and Acer are following another supplier of personal computing systems. It is expected that later this month, Asus and Samsung will enrich their offers for tablets / laptops (device type “ convertible “) which will be able to work under Windows or Android.
