Dell Venue 10 7000: hybrid tablet with Atom processor and … – PCLab.pl

Dell is planning to launch a new tablet hybrid Venue 10 7000, based on Intel hardware platform and operating under the control of the operating system Google Android 5.0 “Lollipop”. The new model in the United States of America will be priced in the amount of $ 499, the basic version, as well as the amount of $ 629 for a version with a detachable keyboard.

Venue 10 7000 is equipped with AMOLED touchscreen with a diagonal of 10.5 inches and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Under the hood hides Intel Atom Z3580. This system is produced in 22-nanometer lithography unit with four cores with a frequency of 2.33 GHz for the GPU and 457 MHz frequency, which in Turbo mode can grow up to 533 MHz.

The new tablet Dell also has 2 GB of RAM, a digital camera RealSense (Intel) with a resolution of 8 megapixels, a webcam with a resolution of 2 megapixels, and 16 GB of flash memory and battery with a capacity of 7000 mAh. This last element, and a pair of speakers, hidden in a cylindrical casing bead, which according to the manufacturer at the same time is designed to provide better grip safety device.

7000 Venue 10 provides magnetic clamps for a separate keyboard. The combination of both elements is to create something like a notebook, but with Google’s Android operating system. Quite a brave decision, especially as Android or its applications have never been created with the aim of such constructions. However, there is even office suite Google (Documents, Spreadsheets, etc.) that can make increased use of such a format Android devices.

The whole weighs around 600 grams and casing thickness of the tablet is 6.2 millimeters (not including battery).
