Android M can be tested not only on Nexusach – Spider’s Web

During the Google I / O 2015 met the new version of mobile operating system from Mountain View. And while Android M is still in its infancy, it is already possible to test, and as of today, not only on smartphones Nexus family.

Sony announced that Android M Developer Preview version will be available under the Open Device. This program allows users of smartphones Sony, in default developers to unlock the device with the family of Xperia and upload at no images of Android.

In collaboration with Google’s Sony has prepared Android M Developer Preview (download here) with the aim of selected Xperia smartphones and tablets. The program of the Open Devices participate the following devices, which from now on will be able to upload Android M:

  • Sony Xperia Z3
  • Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
  • Sony Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact
  • Sony Xperia Z2
  • Sony Xperia Tablet Z2
  • Sony Xperia Z1
  • Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
  • Sony Xperia Z Ultra
  • Sony Xperia E3
  • Sony Xperia M2
  • Sony Xperia T2 Ultra
  • Sony Xperia T3

Open Devices developed is for developers who want to check the operation of their applications on the latest versions of Android. Now they will be able to do this not only for Nexusach, but also on Xperiach.

also presented a short video of the smartphone Sony Xperia Z3 Compact running under Android M (01/05/51) Developer Preview.

At the same time Sony warns that Android M is not yet stable and not suitable for everyday use. The software will work on devices with unlocked boot loader, but with some limitations, eg. A modem and camera has not been implemented.
