There is already a new version of Android Studio environment numbered 2.0. As you might expect after a round number, we prepared several important news that a large part already described in the context of the launch of the test version.
Stable version does not differ particularly in terms of functionality from a test build and develops above all the possibilities of practical testing of the application through emulation. This is achieved by optimized Android Emulator, which is version 2.0 run three times faster than in version 1.4. Useful will probably also toolbar that imitating the menu of the Notifications panel enables easy control among other settings screen orientation or volume.
In addition, the question of checking how applications exercise in action, also prepared function InstaRun, which allows emulation longer thanks to one-time compilation, and the impact of code changes to the application will be able to observe with the minimum delay. Useful for testing the stability of the program on different devices will also feature Cloud Test Lab. Thanks to it is possible to use the database devices stored on Google’s servers to check for compatibility.
Among other possibilities, which found their way to Android Studio 2.0, replace the App Indexing, which tests to create a proper link structure used later in indexing or the ability to preview rendering using OpenGL frame by frame, which should be useful to developers of mobile games.
