Panasonic AF1 – monitors the Android platform Open Source – Telix.pl

From April on the Polish market as new displays Panasonic AF1 operating under
 an open platform for SoC (System-on-a-Chip). With technology OpenPort Platform monitors will be able to work with the software and third-party applications, especially systems for content management. Panasonic just introduced the first partners who have developed solutions for new displays.

series devices AF1 is a simple, reliable monitors, providing the ability to extend its functionality through an open platform SoC. They use the Android ™ platform and Open Source based on HTML5. In addition, they were equipped with quad-core processor 1 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. The solution is to replace, inter alia, expensive external systems “Wintel” that require cabling and installation of additional components.

 AF1 models have a built-in media player and operate a network of Wi-Fi, which additionally reduces the wiring and eliminates the need for an external player for viewing videos or photos.

 Same displays will be offered in three versions: 42, 49 and 55 inches. They are designed for 24/7 operation, provide flexible installation in landscape orientation, vertical and inclined 45 degrees forward or backward. Guarantees a brightness of 500 cd / m2, and good viewing angles and colors.

 With the entry displays on the market Panasonic unveiled its partners, who develop solutions for OpenPort platform, the company Scala, Grassfish, Net Displays Systems, Videro and Smartsign. Developed by applications that are certified for use on OpenPort ™ Platform. At the same time, so based on the Android open platform SoC, AF1 monitors can also be used with other content management systems.
