BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) in versions for iOS and Android - Techworld

RIM (Research In Motion) has announced that later this year will make its software BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) in the form of dedicated applications for iOS and Android. This is the first cross-platform instant messaging application version, with services every month which is used by over 60 million users.

Users will be able for the first time to send and receive messages using the BBM application, using the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. Analysts point out that this is a big step forward, adding that it should be made well in advance – at least a year earlier, or better yet, two years ago. Then the news would have a lot more clout. You have to admit, however, that the announcement of the Blackberry convince many users maybe it’s worth it to buy smartphones.

Owners of smartphones will be able to add contacts using technologies such as PIN, email, SMS or scan QR codes, regardless of which operating system management afforded by their smartphones. Owners of Android devices will also be able to use NFC (Near Field Communication, contactless short-range communication), thus exchanging data with other mobile devices based on this technology.

The company also announced a new BlackBerry smartphone to join the devices Z10 and Q10. Speaking of the Q5 smartphone, which comes with Qwerty keyboard and runs on BlackBerry OS 10 The device will be launched at the beginning of July.
