Blackberry company has announced plans to make summer groundbreaking mobile social network BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) users with iOS devices and Android. It is planned to support iOS6 version and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and above, and the implementation depends on the approval of the application by the stores Apple App Store and Google Play.
Fast and reliable BBM sets the standard for mobile messaging, offering information about the delivery status and read e-mail, personalized profiles and avatars. BBM users will now be able to add them as friends of family members and friends who use other platforms.
Users iOS and Android using the planned initial version will have access to instant chat BBM, a dormitory, and sharing features photos and voice memos. They can also participate in the BBM Groups with up to 30 people.

BBM has more than 60 million monthly active users. More than 51 million people use BBM for an average of 90 minutes a day. BBM users send and receive a total of more than 10 billion messages each day. This is almost double in comparison to other mobile messaging. Almost half of the BBM messages are read within 20 seconds of receipt, showing the commitment of BBM users.
Company also announced today launch of BBM Channel – a new social platform within BBM through which users can connect to each other with important companies, brands, celebrities and groups. BlackBerry plans to add support for BBM channels and voice and video chat on iOS and Android platforms this year as well. This depends on the approval of the stores Apple App Store and Google Play.
Once approved by Apple and Google BBM app will be available as a free download in the Apple App StoreSM stores and Google Play. For more information about system requirements and availability will be announced before the release.
