Android and iOS have a total of up to 96.3 percent market share … – PCLab.pl

Android and iOS were counting the total for 96.3 percent of smartphones sold in 2014. Google increased its market share at the expense of all other owners platforms. The dynamics of sales of smartphones with Windows Phone is definitely lower than in the case of Android and iOS. The biggest problem is of course the BlackBerry, which has sold almost 70 percent fewer units than last year.

In 2014 years of smartphones sold 1.3 billion, or until by 27.7 percent from a year earlier. The largest part of this result was, of course, Android devices, which sold 1.06 billion units. Thus, the system is in Google’s three handfuls of 81.5 percent market share, compared to 78.7 percent a year earlier. Android is indeed the only OS-I, which increased competitive advantage.

 Statistics

The second place is, of course, Apple with its iOS. The company sold 192.7 million smartphones, 25.6 percent more than in 2013. This, however, did not prevent US companies before falling market share, which now amounts to 14.8 percent. While third place went to Windows Phone, which was acquired in 34.9 million devices by users. Growth versus 2013 years was relatively small and amounted to 4.2 percent. Microsoft’s share of the system itself has declined over the year to 2.7 percent from 3.3 percent.

The biggest loser is the BlackBerry, which alone recorded a decrease in sales of equipment. Moreover, the difference in the number of deliveries is drastic. By 2014, the company launched the 5.8 million smartphones, while in 2013, 19.2 million. This is down by as much as 69.8 percent. Interestingly, clearly benefit systems from other manufacturers not listed, unfortunately, with the name. By 2014 the Company sold 7.7 million smartphones with less popular OS-s, which represents an increase of 234.8 percent increase over 2013 years.
