Most security holes in 2014? OSX, iOS, and Linux (including … – Tabletowo.pl

/

If someone asks you which operating systems are the safest, many people will answer that iOS, OSX and Linux distributions, because “there is no virus.” Viruses, and the systems themselves, as it turns out, are not safe.

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Labs, has recently published a dry list of operating systems ranked in order starting with the largest number of security holes identified in 2014 years. To the surprise of many, the most “leaky” turned out to OSX, and in third place were the Linux kernel (including Android and Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu). IOS in second place and it can be a big surprise. Safest proved to be two of the most hated in the world operating systems, namely Windows Vista and Windows RT. Right behind them is Windows 8.1. Below is the complete list:

I encourage you to view the comments below the tweet Kaspersky, where he fulfilled a veritable storm and disputes fans (fanbojów?) of individual systems . The Internet does not forgive, and the faithful fans even more. Who would have thought that operating systems can give rise to such extreme emotions … Many people are turning attention to the fact that much less likely to catch viruses on OS X than on Windows. Here, however, there is the issue of scale, arbitrary software installation and openness of the system. I leave to draw conclusions for each of you.

Maybe it’s time to revise opinions on Some systems, and understand that the safety problem of systems is much more complex than it might seem at first glance?
