Android haven for cybercriminals – eGospodarka

In 2015, nearly 70 percent of users of mobile devices in Poland used the Android operating system. Analysts G DATA SecurityLabs discovered last year, 2.3 million new forms of attacks on the mobile system. The number of malware has increased by almost 50% compared to 2014 (1,584,129).

Experts from the G DATA predict that 2016 will be a further increase in attacks against users of smartphones and tablets. This is due to the fact that more and more users uses mobile devices, which are an alternative for the PC, when shopping online, or implementation of banking services.

Experts G DATA in the fourth quarter of 2015 years discovered 758.133 new attacks on Android. This means that nearly 32% increase compared to the same period of 2014.

A total of 2015 revealed 2,333,777 new types of malware attacks on the devices running operating system Android. This is a negative record, I have never recorded such a large number of threats.
