Android Lollipop on only 3.3% of devices running … – PCLab.pl

Google has just released its latest statistics on the drop-down by operating system Android. As is clear from the analyzes, Version 5.0 Lollipop in the last month doubled its market share. Unfortunately, this does not change the fact that the software runs on only 3.3% of all devices running supported by Mountain View. In this respect, “Lollipop” overcomes even have an aging Android Gingerbread (6.9%), with no mention newer scenes.

The most popular version of Android Jelly Bean is now Enjoying a 42.6% market share (down from 44.5%). In second place is taken by KitKat with a score of 40.9% and an increase of 1.2 percentage points. Part of the devices still also uses a version Ice Cream Sandwich, which is 5.9% of vehicles running from Google. Marginally already has Android 2.2 Froyo (0.4%), which officially presented in 2010.

In short – Android Lollipop goes on more and more devices, but I still use it only a few. Interestingly, the system debuted four months ago. Analysts speculate, however, that the software will begin to gain more popularity only in the second quarter of this year. In the near future should see more smartphones and tablets that are already on the grid will use version 5.0, and manufacturers should prepare updates for older devices.
