Samsung did not give up Android Wear. And I think that should – Antyweb

I use two smartwatchy – Samsung Galaxy S2 (in sport) and LG G Watch R. The first Tizen drives from Samsung, the second Android Wear. I’ll write it right away – when it comes to functionality and comfort wins for me Tizen, which LG is worn far more rarely. After replacing the leather strap on the black bracelet I assume it only when more visually fit into my clothes. It is very interesting that much more will watch on the bracelet massive than the smaller appliances on the rubber strap. In this case, however, wins comfort.

I understand that Android Wear – just like a normal Android – a platform designed for a variety of watches, so that none of the companies is not able to perfectly adapt it to its proposal. I unfortunately feel – tested several smartwatchy on Android Wear, and basically for any would not work ideally. He can cut the Moto 360 (first and second generation), as well as on the G Watch R and Huawei Watchu. This is not a budget watches, appliances holding only a standard – so like what AW would work perfectly?

the watch is able to disconnect from the phone and the only thing I can do about it, then his restart, reconnect with the application does not help – and it does not matter whether the equipment is hooked to the same network as your telephone. Information that the system has performed an illegal operation occurs approximately every two days, the equipment can trim the closing notification and menu settings show the incomplete and decipher only a few seconds. Yes, I look optimistically to the new look of the system, afraid, however, that it will be installing new software on old hardware, and further worsen the comfort of use. There are of course problems that occur routinely and prevent the use of the watch, but there are also hard not to notice them. Wine SmartWatch? I celowałbym in underdeveloped system.

In particular, that such problems do not occur with the S2. The watch is not disconnected me from the Galaxy S6 even once – I can easily connect with him when he is at home, hooked to a WiFi network. Notifications are working fine, absolutely nothing cut – Tizen S2 acts like a rocket, he does not hang it once. And if I speak of any trust wearables, most just hope this hardware. And sometimes you have to, especially when the phone is somewhere in the other room and just watch it informs about important SMS, messages with Messenger or phone. The equipment works well also as an alarm clock or a stand-alone or an extra screen via which I can set off the alarm in the phone. Well, not poured notifications like crazy, which watches with Android Wear is sometimes annoying.

Two completely different systems, which comparison is a little unfair. Samsung has its own equipment, it works a bit like Apple offering both device and system and applications. Android Wear is to work on multiple devices and allow external software. But I was interested in action and in this topic Tizen almost crushes system Google. If only be able to move the system from Samsung to the watch looks like a G Watch R, the equipment would be ideal. The device LG visually I like the most (especially black metal band), but Tizen is a great system.

That’s why Samsung should focus completely on your own system and forget about Android Wear. He had with this system one adventure – the Galaxy Gear smartwatchu of 2014. Once was enough, it makes no sense to go back.
