Android losing share on the largest European markets – TELEPOLIS.PL

According to analysis by Kantar Worldpanel Comtech, in the second quarter decline in the share of Android device sales to major European markets.

 
 These figures relate to the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. According to analysts, is the result of, among others, maturity / in the markets. Only 25% of the devices was first smartphone buyers, relative to 29% in the same period of 2014.

 
 While in the US, only 9% of users of Android smartphones in the second quarter turned their phones for iPhones, whereas in Europe the rate was as high as 27%. In the US, Apple and Samsung have 64% of the total sales of smartphones. Dominance in that market further confirms the fact that 9 out of 10 best selling phones are products of the two manufacturers. LG closes the top ten.

 
 Tomorrow’s premiere of the new iPhone is likely to generate further impetus to the resignation of Android. Mainly due to price reductions iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. As many as 32% of the total sales of iPhone 5s in the US was generated after the premiere of sixes.
