Google’s Android Wear for iOS will not work with Apple HealthKit – AppleCenter.pl

AddThis Button END ->

Google announced the Android Wear on Monday, this platform allows users to count steps, calories and other biometric data in spite of this that the application does not have compatibility with the health service from Apple.

Google decided not to integrate with the platform HealthKit, but instead put the use of its platform Google Fit. Representatives of Apple and Google to provide information BuzzFeed News that Android Wear does not offer access to the platform HealthKit, which means that Android users wear must use Google services in order to be able to measure and record health data.

Google spokesman He confirmed that Android Wear for iOS bypasses HealthKit but supports most major functions, and allows for seamless communication with iOS thanks to Android Wear.

Android Wear was launched on Monday to fill the gap left between intelligent watches with Android and the system iOS as well as to increase sales – certainly there are people with the iPhone, which would like to have their phone connect to the watch having Android on board. But I suspect it will be a small percentage of users.

The application works with iPhones 5, 5c, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus, running under iOS 8.2 or later. After pairing the watch to your phone, users will have access to alerts, news, health information, and Google Now.

I think it’s good news that Android Wear does not use Apple HealthKit because I do not trust Google when it comes to privacy and do not be surprised if my health data leaked to advertisers.
