American company Gateworks introduced a new development kit for designing applications based on Android system.

Kit hiding under the name GW11036 a development kit for embedded systems based on single board computer family Gateworks Ventana. The platform is intended to facilitate and accelerate the prototyping devices based on Android system.

The kit consists of a computer SBC GW5224 and cooperating with the 7 inch touch screen TFT-LCD with a resolution of 1024x600px PCAP, which are fitted with an aluminum frame. The whole was supplemented with 8GB microSD card preinstalled with Android 4.4.3 Kit Kat.

computer GW5224 Quad Freescale CPU clocked at 1GHz i.MX6, armed with 1GB of DDR3-800 DRAM memory, 2GB Flash memory, Gigabit Ethernet with PoE, USB 2.0 OTG, 3 analog video inputs, HDMI 1.4 and LVDS, analog stereo audio, and two Mini-PCIe socket for connecting additional devices, such as modems LTE / 4G. The computer has the ability to communicate in 802.11bgn WiFi technology and Bluetooth. Built-in GPS receiver allows you to design applications that use location information. The platform has a CAN interface (optional RS-485), RS-232, SPI Master / Slave and perfyferiami in the form of monitoring system voltage and temperature, RTC, Watchdog Timer, 6-axis accelerometer / magnetometer and GPIO outputs. The kit also includes wiring and JTAG adapter. The plate can be supplied with a voltage range of 8 to 60VDC (36 to 60VDC for PoE).

Computer GW5224 is a device similar to GW5220 – products of different parameters of the CPU and the size of Flash memory and RAM (in favor GW5224).
