Phoenix OS – Android modified with considerable opportunities … – Tabletowo.pl

AOSP (Android Open Source Project) is one of the distinctive elements of the whole ecosystem from the rest of the Google operating system for mobile devices. This allows each manufacturer can create your own software based on Android, which in many ways will be distinguished from him. Quite a stir in the market enthusiasts of the technology sparked Remix OS, and now to fight him unable to Phoenix OS with many possibilities of multitasking.

Phoenix OS was created with the aim of making the Android perfect substitute for a computer version of Windows, Linux or OS X that can also operate on regular laptops. At the outset it is worth just mentioning that to be downloaded from the developers is a version for the Nexus 9 and 10, but there was also the variant software for devices with x86 processors (both 32- and 64-bit, as opposed to Remix OS with support “only” for 64-bit SoC). In the latter case, the system can be run directly from a USB flash drive of at least 4GB via USB 2.0 (Remix OS requires, respectively, 8GB and USB 3.0).

Appearance interface is reminiscent of a direct competitor, or just Remix OS. Well, in both cases you can see a strong inspiration Windows and unless this is hardly a disadvantage. On the contrary, so everyone will feel quite at home. At the bottom we have shortcuts to applications that are displayed in the windows with three buttons in the upper right corner: minimize, reduce the size of the window and exit. There are also tabs notification.

Since we are dealing with Android, developers decided leave a separate list of programs. Most applications specifically designed for “green job” works on Phoenix OS seamlessly, but some of them only opens in the window and not in full-screen mode. Perhaps it was this inconvenience will be fixed in subsequent versions. The same thing is doing the font is not always properly adapting to the size of the display.

In many respects, the Phoenix OS resembles Remix OS. However, currently the second software wins the entire challenge, which owes owned by its founders own devices on offer, and numerous nawiązanymi współpracami with manufacturers. In turn, the Phoenix can not yet boast of equally serious successes in the international arena. Still, I think we should watch the development of this software. Certainly it will one giant technology industry interested in it, and the system itself will go on many models.
