Remix OS, the operating system that will run Android on virtually any personal computer.
To act Remix OS needs a PC with a processor in the x86 architecture (which means virtually any system from AMD or Intel) with the ability to boot from an external drive and a USB 3.0 flash drive with a minimum data transfer rate of 20 MB / s and a capacity of at least 8GB.
The system boots directly from an external drive. It is based on Android Lollipop, so you can run on it any applications from the Play Store. In the future it will be available on Android-based version of Marshmallow.
The project also revealed interesting information on the comparison of the performance of computers and smartphones. As the manufacturer of the system on its website, a computer with a quad-core Intel i7 4790 in benchmarks has received over 2.5 times higher score than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Remix OS will be available for download from mid-January.
