Android M is called Macadamia Nut Cookie, but only temporarily – PCLab.pl

Android M, the latest Google operating system designed for mobile devices It should be presented at the beginning of the conference on May 28 I / O. Currently, we do not know any details about the software, and the mystery remains even its final name. Android Police Service arrived, however, the information, according to which OS is being developed under the code name Macadamia Nut Cookie.

Macadamia Nut cookie is a special type of biscuit, to which is added the nuts and white chocolate. Nicknamed the new software, however, it should not surprise anyone, because Android is famous for naming clearly clouded with sweets. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that the final version of the system has received just such a name. Previous editions of the OS, for example. Lollipop and KitKat, also originally were known by other names. Version 4.4 was once known as Lemon Pie Marinque, while 5.0 was nicknamed Key Lime Pie.

What can we expect from the new version of Android? According to rumors m.in system offers support for fingerprint readers, by which previously had to try to get the producers of mobile devices. That’s quite an improvement that should allow for easier and cheaper to implement appropriate modules in smartphones and tablets. More detailed and most of all official information on the software, but we should know when scheduled for the current week conference, Google.
