Android M with support for fingerprint readers? – Telix.pl

The next version of Android, marked with the letter M, will offer native support for fingerprint readers. The enhanced with relevant API has come to light during the conference Google I / O 2015 to be held next week.

New API for fingerprint reader is to allow developers creating applications for Android , for easy access to the sensor from the application, and encourage manufacturers of smartphones to apply this option in their devices. Using the fingerprint reader will be able to log on to the supported applications, to make mobile payments or to authorize purchases Play Store.

The native Android support for fingerprint scanner solution to this would be safer than when you add the appropriate code by producers in the form overlays on the system. The last time the vulnerability was found in some Android devices that allowed hackers to copy the biometric data before they were sent to a secure storage location. In the case of API integration fingerprint reader with Android code would be much more difficult.

Android M is to be officially presented during the conference Google I / O 2015 to be held in San Franisco 28 and 29 May.

Do you now everyone will be copying each other? Just that one manufacturer to join your refrigerator and in a moment, everyone would do the same?
